Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, plants, starch, corn starch, cassava starch with the ability to 100% decompose naturally. The main two types of PLA are 1. One side corona 2. One side corona with the other side heat sealable. PLA is also an excellent choice for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications such as drug delivery systems and sutures because PLA is biodegradable, hydrolysable and generally recognized as safe.
