Plastic
Most common material. It can be used individually or laminated together to create flexible packaging that meets specific requirements like strength, barrier, sealability, and cost. The choice of plastic depends on the product, application, and desired properties of the final packaging.
Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene ( BOPP)
Shares the properties of other PP plastics, including ruggedness, fatigue resistance, moisture resistance, very low toxicity, flexible finishing options, and controllable transparency.

Nylon (BOPA)
A clear and printable thermoplastic with a relatively high melting point, exceptional strength and toughness, and good oxygen barrier properties. It is scratch, puncture, and flex-crack resistant and does not dissolve/ absorb grease, oil, or acidic food. These properties make PA ideal for use in conventional and microwave cooking applications.
Nylon is ideal for cheese packaging because it has excellent oxygen barrier properties but is carbon dioxide (CO2) permeable, thus if CO2 is formed during storage it will not be trapped inside the package and, thus, does not balloon it.

For cardboard laminations, Metallized BOPA films combine high oxygen and gas barriers with high mechanical resistance.
Coated BOPA ( K BOPA ) high barrier for lamination
Polyester (PET)
A high-performance, crystal clear thermoplastic made from ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate (DMT). The ideal film for quality printing and lamination and a good choice for high-performance plastic films and sheets. It has a relatively high melting point, which makes it suitable for applications that require sterilization at high temperatures.

Cast Polypropylene (CPP)
A transparent cast polypropylene film designed to offer high performance, great appearance and easy converting for flexible packaging and other applications.
It is produced from a combination of various grades of PP polymer. Various constructions of CPP (multi-layer options) are used to cater to several applications in general packaging, as a sealant layer in conjunction with other plastic substrates for packaging of food products, and twist wrap usage in candies.

Tape & Cellophane
BOPP Tapes - Adhesive tape applications
-
Packaging tapes: Used for sealing and securing cartons, boxes, and other packaging materials.
-
Masking tapes: For temporarily protecting surfaces during painting and finishing operations.
-
Duct tapes: Versatile tapes used for general-purpose binding, sealing, and repairing applications.
-
Double-sided tapes: Used for bonding, mounting, and joining various materials.
-
Label and graphic tapes: Providing a clear, durable surface for labels, decals, and graphics.
Paper Tapes
It is widely used for color separation and painting made by hand or by spray, furniture making, automobile, and aircraft painting, appliance manufacturing, decorative glass making, powder coating. plating, and sandblasting.
PVC Tapes
It is an excellent solution for packaging because it bonds well to cardboard boxes. Because cardboard's surface is porous and contains fibers that can break away, duct tape's bond is prone to failure.
Cellophane for twistable confectionary, cheese, ham or tape
It is derived from natural sources such as wood, while plastic wrap is made from oil. Unlike plastic, cellophane can't be recycled, but it is biodegradable, so it can be composted or sent to a landfill in the regular garbage.
